Veronica grew up on a small farm in Caledon, ON, where her early exposure to livestock sparked her interest in animal health and agriculture. She pursued her academic training at the University of Guelph, completing her Bachelor of Science degree in 2022 followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2026.
Veronica brings a research-focused background, with experience in pathology, nutrition, physiology, and animal behaviour across poultry, beef, and dairy systems, with a focus on population health and its role in optimizing production.
She is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Veterinary Epidemiology and Public Health through the Royal Veterinary College in the UK. Her professional interests include disease prevention, surveillance, and evidence-based strategies to improve animal health and food safety.
Outside of work, Veronica enjoys spending time in the mountains skiing and hiking.
